Operation Christmas Child Experience

Firstborn and I spent a couple of hours today at the Operation Christmas Child processing center in Suwanee, GA.  It was a truly great experience, helping inspect and pack up some of the 460,000 shoeboxes that have been processed in this facility to date - happiest warehouse environment I've ever worked in!

Why?  Because every box is a tangible expression of someone's generosity - and every box will one day make its way into the hands of a needy child.  Very cool to play a small part in making that happen.  Also cool to meet and work with other enthusiastic folks who were there to give of their time.

Goal for this facility is 850,000 shoeboxes - worldwide goal is 8.2 million.  If you're interested in helping make this happen, there's still time to volunteer or donate a shoebox - go here for more info: http://www.samaritanspurse.org/index.php/OCC/Drop_Off_Locations/
